This experience gives us the emotion and the option of being able to spiritually find ourselves. The main means of this is:
- Due to the sacred nature of the coca leaf, it was held with reverence following a strict ritual that is still practiced today. This ritual consisted of holding three coca leaves (this act is called kintu), joining with two hands and offering them as an offering on top. When blowing the leaves as a sign of respect to the Andean deities such as the sun, mountains, lagoons, the earth and others, the act ends by ingesting the kintu to be able to take advantage of all the nutrients it has.
- Offering to Pachamama: It is a ceremony that many people also know as Payment to the Earth. This is due to the function or purpose with which it is given, which is precisely to return to the Earth everything it has given us. This very important ceremony of offering to Pachamama is carried out particularly on the first day of August as it was done in Inca times. During the ceremony it is possible for participants to ask for some personal favors in projects or dreams that they have for the future of themselves or people around them.
