This itinerary takes you to discover the best of Mexico, from the vibrant Mexico City with its historical and archaeological monuments, to the colonial cities of Queretaro, San Miguel de Allende and Guanajuato, full of culture and tradition. You will also experience the magic of Tequila and Tlaquepaque in Guadalajara, the spirituality of the Basilica of Guadalupe and the impressive pyramids of Teotihuacan, closing with a visit to beautiful Morelia. It is a complete tour of Mexico’s rich history, architecture and customs.
Reception at the Mexico City International Airport and transfer to the selected hotel. Accommodation
Breakfast. We will visit the most representative places of this great metropolis with more than 20 million inhabitants. The first part is on foot. The Plaza de la Constitución or Zócalo, is the third largest square in the world. On its sides we will find the first attractions that we will see: the National Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the largest church in Latin America, and where we will be able to appreciate, among other things, the famous “Santo Cristo del Veneno” or “Black Christ” which they say is very miraculous. Next to the Cathedral are the ruins of Templo Mayor, which is precisely the heart of the birth of Greater Tenochtitlán, which we will see from the outside.
We will travel by vehicle to the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, which shows vestiges of pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern constructions. We find in this place the Church where San Juan Diego was baptized, as well as the esplanade where the events of the student massacre took place in 1968. From outside our guide will show us and explain the main points. We go to a Craft Market, for a visit of approximately 30 minutes, so that our passengers can
acquire your typical souvenirs and gifts.
From here, we will admire from the vehicle the Paseo de la Reforma with its Independence monument commonly called “El Ángel”. If the authorities allow it, we can go down to take a photo with the most important monument in Mexico. We will continue through Reforma to locate and admire from the vehicle the Chapultepec Forest where the Castle that was the residence of Emperor Maximilian and Mexican presidents, the Lake, the National Auditorium and the Museum of Anthropology are located. There is no stopping at these places. Accommodation.
Breakfast. The tour begins with the Basilica of Guadalupe, the second most frequented sanctuary by Catholic faithful throughout the world, located on the Tepeyac hill. You can see Juan Diego's ayate with the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. Includes time to attend Mass, if there is space available in the Basilica (in accordance with health protocols and limited space). Continuation to Teotihuacán to visit the pyramids of the Sun and the Moon, the Citadel with its temple to Quetzalcóatl, the Avenue of the Dead and the Temples of the Jaguar and the Snails. Stop at a craft store to demonstrate how the Teotihuacans made textiles and crafts from stones such as obsidian and jade. Accommodation.

We leave for Querétaro, a World Heritage City recognized by UNESCO with a journey of approximately two hours. Arrival at the historic center to take a pedestrian walk with: the House of Corregidora Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez (Municipal Palace) and the Palace of the Marquesa de la Villa del Villar del Águila. We will see its impressive Aqueduct with 1,280 meters in length and arches more than 23 meters high, becoming a masterpiece of 18th Century Engineering. Visit to the Temple of the Holy Cross (which is where the crucifix-shaped thorns of a bush unique in its kind in the world are sold), Plaza de Armas. Cerro de las Campanas, where Emperor Maximilian was executed in 1867, and where we will also admire a large monument to Benito Juárez, one of the most important Presidents that Mexico has ever had and known as Benemérito de las Américas and his famous phrase “Respect for the right of others, is Peace.” Time for lunch on behalf of the passengers.
Continuation to San Miguel de Allende, an hour and a half away, a World Heritage City recognized by UNESCO and also named by publications such as Conde Nast. Traveler and Travel & Leisure , as the most beautiful city in Latin America. Visit of the Church dedicated to San Miguel Arcángel, a beautiful architectural piece from the 17th century with a neo-Gothic façade and the Main Plaza, Municipal Palace, the Casa del Mayorazgo de la Canal, the Allende Institute of Art and Culture, Royal Convent of la Concepción. Panoramic visits to the houses of the famous artists Cantinflas and Pedro Vargas. Craft market, with samples of art in pewter , embossed brass, the characteristic stars, paper mache, items with the image of Frida Kahlo and hearts San Miguel de Allende – Jardines de Allendeque are the symbol of San Miguel de Allende, among many others. Accommodation.
Breakfast. Departure to Atotonilco, just 20 minutes away, to admire the famous Mexican “Sistine Chapel”, which is the Sanctuary of Jesús Nazareno, a baroque temple from the 18th century, which was built trying to make a Church in the likeness of the “Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem". The chapels are decorated with paintings by Juan Rodríguez Juárez and murals by local artist Miguel Antonio Martínez de Pocasangre . The importance of the Sanctuary was evident on July 8, 2008 when UNESCO included the sanctuary in its list of World Heritage Sites, Places to Visit Recommended by UNESCO.
Continuation to Dolores Hidalgo 45 minutes away. Arrival to visit the Church of the Virgin of Dolores, where Priest Miguel Hidalgo gave the cry that began the fight for Independence in the early morning of September 16, 1810. Visit to the tomb of the famous Mexican composer José Alfredo Jiménez, known worldwide for having performed many of the most representative Mexican songs such as “El Rey”, “Ella”, “La mediavuelta”, “Serenata huasteca”, “I woke up in your arms” and “Te solté la rienda”. Time for lunch on behalf of the passengers.
Departure to the beautiful city of Guanajuato, a World Heritage City recognized by UNESCO, one hour away passing through the Sierra de Santa Rosa, famous for the famous song “Camino de Guanajuato”. We will visit, among other attractions: the Church of Valenciana, La Alhóndiga de Granaditas, The University, Church of Our Lady of Guanajuato which is located in the Plaza de la Paz, panoramic view of Diego Rivera's house, panoramic view of Teatro Juárez ( does not include entrance), Jardín Unión, Hidalgo market, squares and alleys such as the famous Callejón del Beso and Plaza del Baratillo. Visit the viewpoint located next to the Pípila monument. Guanajuato is famous for its streets and tunnels, which can be admired during the visit. We will see sculptures of characters like Don Quixote and Jorge Negrete. We suggest at night, the “ Calejoneada ” (not included), which is very famous for the fun that there is during a night walk through the city, with student music, narrations of legends, wine bottles and some beautiful places. It is very typical to do it, especially during the Cervantino Festival. Accommodation.
Breakfast. We will leave for the Ranch of the famous Mexican music singer, Vicente Fernández ( RIP ), three and a half hours away. Although entry to the Ranch is not allowed, you will have the opportunity to take a photo at the entrance and visit the ranch handicraft store and the Mexican food restaurant.
Continuation to Tlaquepaque, Pueblo Mágico, half an hour away. Tlaquepaque is recognized for its fine craft shops, with its wonderful ceramics and glass objects, galleries of great artists such as Sergio Bustamante, its beautiful plaza with Kiosk, the El Refugio cultural center, among other interesting places. Lunch included (without drinks) in a typical restaurant.
Departure to the center of Guadalajara, a few minutes away. Guadalajara is the second most important city in Mexico. Walking tour of the historic center: Cathedral, Plaza de Laureles, Plaza de Armas, Government Palace and the Rotunda of the Illustrious Men. Plaza Libertad (or Independence Square), Degollado Theater (entrance not included), Plaza Fundación with its beautiful fountain, Plaza Tapatia. Option to enter the Cabañas Cultural Institute (entrance not included). Visit the San Juan de Dios market, being the largest crafts, clothing and food market in Latin America and which becomes an experience and example of Mexican folklore. Accommodation.
Breakfast. Departure to Tequila an hour and a half away. We will visit this Magical Town that is also a World Heritage Site. Places to visit recommended by UNESCO with its Blue Agave fields. Upon arrival we will admire the famous “Matices” hotel with its rooms in the shape of wooden barrels. We will enter the tequila producing Hacienda “La Cofradía”, to learn about the process of making one of the most famous drinks in the world. There will be a tasting while we take the tour and an explanation of everything that the production of Tequila entails. Time for lunch on behalf of the passengers. Return to Guadalajara, rest of the afternoon free.
As an option (not included) we suggest a fun night at Casa Bariachi with a typical dinner and a very high-level Mexican show, which obviously includes Mariachi. Our guide will be happy to support you if you want to spend an unforgettable night. Accommodation
Breakfast. Visit of the Expiatory Temple of the Blessed Sacrament, designed by the Italian architect Adamo Boari , with medieval Gothic style. This temple of impressive beauty is compared by experts to the Church of Notre Dame. In its construction, details stand out such as the quarry stone carved with techniques from the Middle Ages; mosaics brought from the Vatican; a Carillon of 25 musical pieces (including the famous “Marcha de Zacatecas”, “México Lindo y Querido” and “Las Mañanitas”); and a lavish Dome of German stained glass with scenes such as “The Last Supper” and “The Passions of Christ”, and a depth that will take you to heaven.
Departure to Tzintzuntzan , Pueblo Mágico, three and a half hours away, where we will meet Christ in the Chapel of Soledad whose limbs are said to grow, and the coffin had to become larger. Visit to the Posas Chapels, the centuries-old olive trees planted by Tata Vasco 16th century, the mural of the Lord of the Rescue (16th century fresco). We will learn about the typical crafts mainly made of palm.
Continuation to Pátzcuaro, Pueblo Mágico, just thirty minutes away. Visit of places such as: the Basilica of Our Lady of Health known for its numerous miracles, the House of the Eleven Patios, the Gertrudis Bocanegra Library, the Plaza de Don Vasco and its market. This beauty of a magical town, on the shore of a lake, has been the inspiration for films like Disney's “Coco” and the location for the filming of many others. Time for lunch on behalf of the passengers.
Continuation to Morelia, one hour away. Morelia is another of our fabulous World Heritage City recognized by UNESCO. Visit that includes the Church of Guadalupita, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, the Plaza de Armas, Aqueduct (built in 1790 to bring water to the city, which has more than 250 arches and almost 30 feet high and almost two kilometers long), Fuente de las Tarascas, Monument of Morelos. Visit of the Church of Santa Rosa de Lima, Rose Garden and panoramic view of the Conservatory of Music where the world-famous “Singing Boys of Morelia” originated, taught by the famous maestro Romano Picutti (teacher of the Vienna Children's Singers) . Panoramic view of the house of the famous singer Marco Antonio Solís “El Buki ”. The famous sweets and crafts market cannot be missed. Accommodation.
Breakfast. At the agreed time, return to Mexico City, lasting approximately four hours. Dropped off at the hotel of your choice.
