Itinerary
Transfer from the hotel to the land terminal to travel to the city of Huaraz.
09:00 Am departure Lima – Huaras
18:00 pm arrival in the city of Huaras. Pick up, transfer and accommodation at the chosen hotel, reception with coca tea to acclimatize.
Duration: 8 hours approx.
06:00 hours. Reception and transfer to the chosen accommodation.
09:00 hours. This day we will enter the Huascarán National Park and we will visit the highest mountain in Peru, Huascarán 6768 meters above sea level. We will also visit the ancient city buried by the 1970 Yungay-Campo Santo earthquake and avalanche, now a World Heritage Site. We begin our visit starting from the north of Huaraz arriving at the town of Carhuaz to enjoy the traditional prepared ice cream and photographic shots of the main square, we head to Yungay to visit the city buried in the '70s, the Campo Santo then we ascend to the Chinancocha lagoon in Llanganuco We will have a boat ride, then we descend and head to Caraz to visit and purchase artisanally prepared delicacies, returning to Huaraz we visit the artisan village Taricá .
Archaeological Tour to Chavín de Huantar
Duration: 9 hours approx. To carry out this tourist circuit our departure will be at 8am and we will head towards the southern part of the city of Huaraz, we will pass through the city of Recuay and in Catac we will take the detour towards the Callejón de los Conchucos . The first stop will be at the Laguna de Querococha (4200m), here we will obtain views of contrasting Andean landscapes (lagoon, ichu , mountains), then the ascent towards the Cahuish tunnel , to pass towards the Valley of the Conchucos after 2 ½ On our trip we will visit the magnificent Archaeological Center of Chavín, which is one of the most beautiful and ancient monuments in the Andes of Peru. Then we will have a tourist lunch at the chosen restaurant. And we conclude our tour to Chavin with a visit to the National Museum of Chavin . Return to Huaraz and spend the night.
Duration : 8 hours approx.
This day we will go to the south of the city of Huaraz, this view begins in the Carpa sector, the first place to visit the Patococha lagoon known for the presence of wild ducks, then gasified waters that are natural filtration of the subsoil, Continuing the visit, we will arrive at PumapaShimi , the lagoon of the 7 endless colors and the Puyas Raymondi forest , the most representative plant of the Andes. Finally, we will visit the snow-capped Pastoruri to take photos and tour its frozen lagoon and ice walls. Overnight in
05:30 hours. With a private vehicle we headed towards the Llanganuco valley . First we pass the Park control, then we zigzag up the Llanganuco ravine . Then we passed near the 2 lagoons ( Chinancocha and Orconcocha ). After a brief stop we headed to Cebollapamapa , which is the starting point of the hike to Laguna 69. Getting to Laguna 69 will take us approximately 3 hours. And it is located just below the impressive Chacraraju mountain (6112 m.). Then we go down the same road for 2 hours to Cebollapampa , where transportation awaits us to return to Huaraz. Farewell to the group at the hotel and transfer to the bus terminal.

MOUNTAIN EQUIPMENT
- 3 locking carabiners, we recommend per person.
- We recommend 2 ice screws for each client.
- 1 Daisy Chain (Lifeline) for each person.
- 2 technical ice axes (per person), we recommend the company GRIVEL.
- 1 ATC Descender (Rappel), this is very necessary for technical mountains.
- Prusik ropes , very important (Rope size 6 mm x 10 m. long).
- Gloves ( Good gloves) for expeditions of more than 6000 meters.
- Climbing harness.
- Sleeping pad / Mattress, we recommend with air or inflatable mat.
- Crampons, we recommend the GRIVEL company.
- Poles – Trekking Poles (optional), one pair per person, we recommend the GRIVEL company.
- Down jacket for expedition. It is very important to have personal clothing such as pants and jacket with GOROTEX certification.
- First aid kit, for high mountains, since we as guides cannot medicate clients.
- Backpack Capacity 60 liters, it is better to have a larger backpack to comfortably go to high altitude camps, since here you have to carry all your personal things.
