Itinerary
Depart from Lima to Ica, where our adventure begins. We'll delve into the mystical side of Ica with a visit to Cachiche village, home to intriguing attractions like the Seven-Headed Palm Tree and the Witchcraft Theme Park. Indulge in local treats at the Tejas House before exploring an artisanal winery, where you'll sample exquisite wines, piscos, and cachinas while learning about traditional production methods. Next, we'll marvel at the breathtaking scenery of the Huacachina Oasis and enjoy thrilling sandboarding and tubular rides amidst the dunes. Finally, we'll transfer to our hotel in Ica to unwind and recharge for the next day.
Transfer to Ica: Approximately 10:30 a.m. - We board our tourist transportation and head to Ica.
Visit to a vineyard for wine and pisco tasting Approximately 12:00 p.m. - We arrive at a renowned vineyard in Ica, such as Nietto or Catador (depending on availability), where we'll take a brief tour of the vineyard facilities to learn about the wine and pisco production process. We'll also learn the proper way to taste wines, piscos, and infused liquors, accompanied by traditional ancestral chants.
Lunch break: Approximately 1:00 p.m. - We'll have free time for lunch in Ica (the guide will recommend some restaurants with à la carte dishes starting from 30 or 35 soles).
Transfer to the hotel in Huacachina and free afternoon At the appropriate time, we'll transfer you to your chosen hotel, where you'll have the afternoon free. Please note that check-in at the hotel will be according to the chosen hotel's check-in time.
Today, we embark on a maritime adventure to the Ballestas Islands, renowned for their rich biodiversity. Keep your camera ready to capture sightings of Humboldt penguins, sea lions, and a variety of seabirds as we cruise around these fascinating islands. Afterward, we'll explore the natural wonders of the Paracas National Reserve, including the stunning rock formations and pristine beaches. After a day of exploration, we'll return to our hotel in Ica to relax and reflect on the day's experiences.
Our journey continues as we depart for Nazca, where ancient mysteries await. Along the way, we'll marvel at the enigmatic Inka Profile and the Maria Reiche Lookout, offering panoramic views of the Nazca Lines. Dive deeper into the history and culture of Nazca with visits to the Maria Reiche Museum and the Cantayoc Aqueducts, marvels of ancient engineering. Immerse yourself in local craftsmanship with visits to pottery and gold workshops before we bid farewell to Nazca and return to Ica. From there, we'll board our bus back to Lima, concluding our unforgettable journey through southern Peru.
